Default Teamwork...How far off are we? Portrait shot in urban area

My husband and I had a outdoor photo shoot for fun and learning. I have been a serious hobbyist for a long time and he is just now learning but IMO extremely gifted and willing to learn. We wanted to get some input on this picture. Is the slant too much? Does the pose work for this shot? The lighting is all natural..is it exposed correctly? Please let us know what works and what doesnt about the picture. I have also posted other pictures from our shot on my flikr photostream http://www.flickr.com/photos/42507711@N05/if interested in giving input..We are looking towards making this more than a hobby as a team so are very interested in what we might improve Thanks in advance!!

My opinon, i think it's slanted too much, it's hard to look at. I think it's a really nice picture, would like to see it with a different crop/slant. Her hands/arms are cut off... anything with those in the frame? (The cutting off of limbs is something I've been working on lately, so maybe I'm just a little more sensitive about them).

i think it is a great shot. there are some interesting lines and the model is lit very well. i think that natural is always the best way to go. although that can be problematic if it is too sunny. the only issue i have is with the slant. i think that it is very easy way to add a touch of ambiance to a photograph, but i think it is too much here. the slant makes the picture a little dizzying to look at.

I looked at your other shots on your flickr page and they all look good. Especially the one where the little girl is hugging the boy from behind. On the one you posted here, the exposure is good, the pose is fine. The only issue is the slant is a little bit too much and the background is too distracting. Overall though, you're headed in the right direction. Good job!!

Exposure on the subject awesome, but the angle and background kills it for me.Too busy.

I agree with this statement. It was exactly what I thought when I looked at it. Though, it is a nice picture still

The colors pop and her skin tone is wonderful. The slant of the picture, tree limbs above her head and the missing hand are the only negative issues. I looked at your pictures on flickr and they were great....keep up the good work!!!!
