Default A tourist takes a shot of the temples at Ayutthaya

I am very new to portrait pictures and this is one of my first few attempts at it. I liked the background in this one because of the slight bokeh that was formed in it. Do you think its too distracting though? Would it look better in black and white? I've read that in a portrait pics, one should focus on the eyes of the subject. In this particular case, where should the focus ideally be?

Thanks for looking.

I like the bokah but as a portrait I would do a much tighter crop. I played around a little and turned it black and white, but I liked it in color better . I think photgraphers would be pleased to have a portrait of them taken while they are taking pictures. It shows us not just in the physical sense but doing the thing that we love doing. Also most people remember us as the person behind the camera

I vote for the cropped version too...and you still get to keep enough of that lovely green bokeh
