2nd go at portraits (flash)

Went out for some practice using my Vivatar flashes, ended up shooting well into the night.I feel pretty good about my lighting (Direct diffused/bounce/off camera) but I still find myself guessing about the pose . Any feedback is welcomed, but really let me here some about the poses.
I mean, is there any "rule of thumb" on postioning the body,hands,chin?
I would just like to go out next time with some guidlines in mind.

do take the time to look through benji's previous threads here at dps......he has a gift for good portraiture.....and take him up on his invitation to his section on photocamel.....

having read it...it is very good...Straight forward with examples. Someone on the Camel site also made it into a .pdf so you can down load it.
