Default On top of the world

Hello. We (ie my wife, my two children and I) went out for a walk today, climbed a local hill and took a few photos. I was wondering whether people think the composition of this shot works at all...

P1050036

Data...
Taken today, 6th March 2010, in the UK around 4pm
Shutter speed: 1/320th
Aperture: f/5.6
ISO: 160
No flash (disabled to enable burst shooting)
No post-production at all (I only use iPhoto '08) -- apart from some straightening
(I think that's everything but please forgive me if I've forgotten anything; please also forgive me if this should be in the landscape section rather than the portrait section!)

Hi,
Great shot. Think we're a little costrained at the moment with that watery light in the U.K. at this time of year, although I think this is less about the landscape, and more about the foreground and your wife and kids. Especially like the backward lean of the little one. Maybe would've had them in a little from the edge of shot and warmed up the foreground grass a little, but that's just my opinion.

The shot is really great. For better view try cropping the top and leaving just a bit space upper head. It will make more panoramic view

I agree with donciakas about the pano view, I believe it would make this shot a great one.

Thank you for your comments -- very much appreciated!

Dave: the little on at the front is leaning that way because he was having a bit of a strop (though not quite the full Oscar-winning variety he's capable of!) -- so I can't claim any credit for it! I agree the light wasn't good on Saturday, and actually the very bright sunlight we'd have since has been even worse...

Donciakas and Eleanor06: is this what you had in mind?

Thanks again for taking the time and trouble to reply!

Surprised.
