What is in the top right corner? Personally, I think it's a bit distracting, whatever it is.

the upper right is a father or grandfather, I am guessing the grandfather, as the father is the photographer.

I think you have the right idea. you might try checking you focus, as it seems a little soft. Your light is good, just the extra lips in the picture are distracting, and it does seem that you applied sharpening to compensate for some difficulty in getting a sharp capture. I noticed your other images also have the soft focus condition, so I am going to guess that you should try to get a brighter light source like a big opendoor or window at noon on a coudy day, and stop down to about f/8 to give you some lattitude in focus distance.

Thank you so much for your excellent suggestions. I appreciate it very much.
Yes, you are absolutely right, upper right corner it is her grandfather. Agree, I sharpen the photography a bit. It was little softer. I guess f/2.8 that time and I decreased the exposure too. Thats why I think I am facing focus problem. Thanks for your suggestion. I will definitely share few more photograph with you and try to rectify myself.

I just think it made the food around the mouth and the whiskers on the grandfather too noticeable and attention-grabbing. It make the eyes gorgeous but even there might be a tad too much. Cute though!

You could try only sharpening the eyes and leaving the rest of the face soft. The eyes look great.
