How is the color on this portrait?

Is his face too soft?

Composition?

face doesnt look too soft to me. white balance looks a little off to me but it could be my monitor

WB is definitely off - he's very pink/magenta. Viewed large, his left eye is OOF, his right one is a bit sharper, but it looks like the focus mainly fell on his hair above his right eye. Not crazy about the crop.

If you shot this RAW, it'll be easy enough to fix the WB in post. Even if you shot in JPG you can still take out some of the magenta to fix the color a bit.
