Hi and welcome to DPS! Congrats on the new camera!
Try shooting in open shade rather than direct sun - you've got some harsh shadows and blown out highlights. The dead center composition isn't doing a whole lot for me, either. His pose is rather odd - at the risk of sounding strange, my eyes keep going straight to his crotch rather than his face, which somehow I don't think was the intent. ![]() Good job on focus, though, he's nice and sharp.

Just a thought, try it in black and white. See what you think. sharpen up the glasses a bit so there is more definition in them.

Yet another shot that a simple 45 degree turn of the torso would have prevented one problem already pointed out, the dreaded crotch shot. 100% agreed about not using raw sunshine as your main light. Put bluntly it simply cannot be used in portraiture as a main light.
