Default WASA Winter Photo Shoot with Tasha!

I just did a spontaneous photo shoot in the snow with my wonderfully photogenic friend Tasha, and I am quite pleased with how they came out, but there is certainly flaws and some that I'm just not sure about. I put specific questions under the pictures that I am in desperate need of critique on, because I am contemplating which ones to submit to my photography class.

Looks like the focus fell more on the hands than the face. Cool shot---I like how she looks really far from the background.

definitely need more light on the subject. She just looks like a black blob on blown out white. meter for the snow and add +1 or 2 ev to make it white, but not blown out. Then use some fill flash or, if you can get an off camera setup out there that would be better, to bring out the detail in the subject.
