Default Birthday girl

I'd like critique on the composition, cropping, and processing of this photo. I took it of my daughter on her 3rd birthday last weekend. The crop is sooc, I sharpened the eyes a tad in cs4, and did some minor adjustments to the levels and saturation. I'm looking to perfect my portraiture photography so feedback is appreciated.

Feel free to post any edits to DPS only.

I can already tell the photo is much warmer in my post here on DPS than the original on my IMAC. Does anyone know why that would be the case?

Not sure why it would change here. Overall, I would increase the light on her face and decrease the light on the side of her head--with natural light simply reorienting her will do the trick. This would put the focus back on her face/eyes, rather than the side of her head, where my eye is drawn now. The same lighting ratio would be good as long as her face is at the other brightness, because that is more correctly exposed, while the main focus points in the picture now are rather underexposed.
