Hey everyone, a few weeks ago I went to my neighbours house (the guy in the picture) and got to try out his new Canon Rebel. Just switched my focus to manual to avoid focusing on his hands, and switched to half b&w half color in photoshop and changed the color of his eye slightly.
Just wondering if there was anything I could have done differently. Different crop, too dark, making sure both eyes lite up, etc. Sorry I dont know all the information : ( 1/20 shutter speed manual focus no flash |

52 looks...another no post.... i hate that....
here is my little two cents. I like the composition. I like how his face is dark right at the center of the triangle. It is almost like a right angle triangle that is lit up. You may be able to crop a little more so he isn't centered..its pretty much dark around the right hand and the left hand is a little more visible. maybe crop the sides more... i like the idea. thanks for sharing!

I would have used a vertical orientation and gotten in a little closer--it would put the focus more on his face and remove some of the black around the edges without losing the shapes and contrasts you have captured so nicely there.
