Default Amber and Michael

Hi everybody, just wanted your general thoughts about this engagement session I did a couple of weekends ago. A friend of mine and I will be doing their wedding in a few weeks, my first paid gig! Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Compositionally is is fine. The desaturated color isn't my favorite but in a series of pictures I am sure it is more interesting. Likewise they are "far away" in the pic so I don't feel a connection to them...but as mentioned , mixed in with a series of other shots that would be less important.

Other than that you should ask a specific question for a more detailed critique.

It's a good shot you did well.

My biggest critique of the image is the man's pose. He's turned away somewhat, and his hand is awkwardly hooked in his pocket...Both of those aspects create a feeling of "disconnect/distance" between them even though he's looking at her and smiling.
