I am trying to show the color of my son's eyes. What do you think of this crop? Original composition is in the flickr set. Feel free to let me know if you think this doesn't work at all. Should I try again and get BOTH eyes in focus? Any thoughts, good, bad, or ugly, are welcome. Thank you for taking the time to respond!

I like the original shot better. Probably because of the rule of 3rds. In the original shot, his eye falls right at the perfect spot. I am drawn to them. In this one, I am kind of searching for something to look for. SUrprisingly enough, even with those beautiful eyes, I found his collar and said to myself, what is that by his chin. lol. i didn't do that in the other one.

I agree it's generally more pleasing to have both eyes in focus. Also like the original framing; you did a good job on it.

I think the original framing works better too. And would have been nice to have both beautiful blue eyes in fcus, but as alrady said, the way you've done it works too. Lovely boy!
