Default Another newbie - critiques welcome!

This is another cloudy day picture, but possibly with better composition. Let me know what you think.

I would suggest crouching down to his level for these types of shots. To me, the angle makes it too apparent that someone is taking a photograph as opposed to just capturing a moment.

Please take a moment to review the guidelines and include all the information asked for. Thanks so much for doing that!

This is good composition wise, but like the previous poster said, I would suggest getting down to his level (eye level with your subject) so you are not looking downwards. Also comming in closer to get rid of the blank space surrounding him will help and also it will help bring out the detail on his face. But this is a cute photograph and a gorgeous child

I agree with the crouching down and zooming in just a tad. I would also add to use a wider aperture so more of the background is blurry and his face and gorgeous eyes just pop right out of the shot.

I like this better than the other picture of yours I just saw, if only because he is bigger in this frame. I think you should get in even CLOSER. This almost comes off as a picture of what one can do for fun at this particular playground, rather than a capture of this child. Does that make sense? The suggestion of using a wider aperature is a good one....that will blur the equipment in the background and put more of the attention on the child.

Thank you, everybody, for your comments. This photography stuff can be daunting for a new hobbyist, but your willingness to help makes it easier. Thanks!
