Default Chrrros and Sun (and Son)

Hi.

I don't like having to ask specific questions. But would this shot be improved less zoomed in? Is there too much empty space at the top? Is the composition right?

Really I'd just like to know what's wrong and whats right with it but I know thats too vague

He really enjoyes these Churros. I know that It looks like a dainty bite but believe me its not.

First of all, i'd like to say that looking at your son's churro is making me hungry. As far as the shot itself, you have shot it in potrait angle, but perhaps a landscape angle would be a better fit for what you are trying to capture - your sun and the churro. Right now, like you mentioned, there is a lot of wasted space at the top (definitely not a fan of the woman hunkering over her own churro), and your son's face is chopped in half. Were it in landscape, you would eliminate a lot of the negative space, and fill the frame more with the churro and your son.

Thanks

Okay that makes sense. He was actually more in frame for some of the other shots. Just liked this expression.

Would a crop help at this point? i've a feeling it would be unblananced with a more square crop.
