Hey Nulrich - I know a shop that has one in the front window, but that's not going to help (It's in London, UK) I hope you find what you're looking for - can anyone else advise? (US based)

They've been out of production for quite a while, so new ones will be rarer than white rhinos. The used market is an option, but they seem to rarely go up for sale because they're such lovely cameras. Try the Buy&Sell section of pentaxforums.com and keep a close eye on your local classifieds. Don't worry about getting one with a kit lens - those can be bought used separately for the cost of a good cup of coffee from most any Pentax user.

Ditto what GEli said about not being worried about buying the lens separately, but I wanted to reiterate that BH Photo and Adorama both regularly have K10D used in demo condition (meaning they never were owned by anyone) or excellent condition for sale. I know this, because I've been compulsively checking their used departments for the last month hoping to see a K20D pop up inside of my price range.

Great, have it in hand yet or are you waiting for it?
Let me know what you think of it! I'm still going back and forth between the K20D new and a used K10D, since I can't find a used K20D. I'm really having trouble figuring out if the difference between the two models is worth being nearly twice the price.

I'm planning to upgrade to the K30 (or whatever it ends up being called) when it comes out (presumably this spring). At that point, I'm sure mine won't be the only used K10D on the market.
![]() But I think the K20D is an amazing deal right now. If I didn't have the K10D already, I'd be scraping together my pennies.

I'm hoping they're going to price more aggressively to start. Both the K10D and K20D started at quite high prices and came down sharply by November.
