And, y'know, Canon makes fine cameras and all. But you're not going to find lenses like the DA 40mm Limited in Canon's lineup — basically all of their nice primes are $1000+/each. And you're not going to find a feature set ;ole the K20D's in the same price range.

Go ahead and buy the K20D without worry. Camera bodies are electronic devices that are obsolete on production day +1...not unlike computers or cellphones. Worrying about having the latest and greatest will cost you a fortune as well as waste time you could be using to take pictures! Besides, the K20D is a HUGE bargain right now!

Your new K20D will be a tool and nothing more. It will produce stunning pictures for many years. And that 50mm f/1.4? Awesome lens! You won't be able to touch a comparable quality lens for twice that amount in another system.
