beautiful, sleeping like an angel
but could you explain your iso choice, you have a fairly fast shutter speed, and mounted on a tripod shooting a sleeping subject, most would be inclined to go a faster shutter and lower iso, thanks

Do you want to have a more technical discussion? If so (and it would be fascinating) I can move this across into the technique area. Share Your Shots is deliberately not for detailed discussion.

Cheers,

WIth the 500, sounds like a tripod would almost be a necessity. I can hardly keep 300mm steady unless I have something to brace myself against.

Nice shot. Don't even notice the high iso.

There was a rather heated discussion in two other forums about the K20's ability to handle high ISO compared to the K10, had also shot two other images one at 1000 and one at 1600. So yes normally I would have opted for lower ISO but, I was proving a point.

I've moved this one over to the Pentax section but left a redirection in Share Your Shots for the next week - that will make it much easier to find in future when it would have been buried in SYS.

I think it serves to show that the K20D works pretty well at high ISO settings. It is a bit noisy when viewed larger but certainly much better than leaving the picture very underexposed. There was probably scope to use a slightly slower shutter speed but the capability of the camera is amply demonstrated.
