Default K10D On Manual Troubleshooting

I almost ALWAYS shoot in manual. I was playing in the menu w/ some AF settings, and now my camera is changing my aperture/shutter speed after the first shot... it's SOOO frustrating. Anyone know what setting I need to change? I thought it was linking the AF w/ AE-L, but I shut that one off so that's not it.

Are you sure its still in manual exposure mode (not manual focus mode)? There is an option somewhere in the menu about auto EV adjustment which basically doesn't let you take an image that would be sooo under or over exposed as to be just black or just white. It automatically adjusts stuff so that doesn't happen.

thank you for the response. Yes it was in manual mode w/ auto focus on. I checked every possible menu setting, and still couldn't figure it out so I ended up changing back to factory menu settings, and taking the battery out for 30 seconds... whatever it was is gone now, and I reset my menu preferences.
