Hi Darren,
I am an amateur when spoken about photography. I already have a Pentax ME Super film camera. I also have the lenses with them, Pentax normal, wide lenses and vivitar zoom. I use all these for my photography on the ME Super. Recently I was looking into purchasing a Pentax K-x DSLR, but my main concern is if all my lenses which I use with the ME Super will be compatible with the new Pentax K-x, pls advice. Samindra |

They'll be compatible for given values of compatible.
![]() They'll all mount and work on a K-x, but specific function, such as metering, and autofocus are going to depend on which version of the K-mount the lens has. Here's a very large compatibility chart and a good article on using manual lenses on a digital Pentax dSLR. Hopefully one of our Pentax mavens will be by soon with better information.

Every lens that autofocuses on any Pentax camera autofocuses on the current ones. The main missing feature is power zoom, for the rare few lenses that used that (the contacts were re-used for the new SDM feature). And, there's no aperture coupling, so for manual lenses without an "A" setting on the dial, you have to press a button whenever you want a meter reading — it's not continuous.
