K10d Owners - Multiple Exposures

Of course, I have played around with the multiple exposure feature on my K10d; however, it wasn't until I read a section in Bryan Petersen's Understanding Exposures, revised edition that I had any idea how I might use it.

Tonight I stepped outside my home and noticed the moon wasn't quite where I wanted it. So I used multiple exposure and got these shots putting the moon in my frame where I wanted it to be (Pentax Power allowing you to move planets around in the universe). The shots are no big deal; just experimental. I want to work with this more; particularly when the moon gets much bigger but will need to figure out how to get the 2nd exposure to be more defined. My fellow K10d owners may have discovered this already; however, just in case, here is the share:






Note: Some applications of multiple exposures are tricky because depending upon your composition, you have to line the exposures so they produce the effect you want; however, a moon is easy because you can mix clouds up in a sky and it is quite forgiving.

Yup, this is a lovely little feature. The auto-EV adjust options that lets you fire away without having to worry about compensating for the dual/9 exposures is really handy as well.
