K-5 Release date???

Hi, Just wondering if anyone knows when this product will be released here in Australia and what is your opinion of it so far? Also do the older pentax lenses etc fit this camera?

No one has a particularly valid opinion because no one has held one yet. There's only just now been released example pictures. It should be in Japan very soon, probably this week, the US and Europe early next week, and looks like Australia is expecting them early November. No idea what the delay is there.

All K mount will fit this camera natively, and all M42 will work with a readily available official adapter.

How irritating they're releasing Kits first and not body-only. Le Sigh.

I'm just keeping my fingers crossed I'm far enough up the pre-order waiting list not to have to go through a re-stock, and also that the price really isn't the MSRP. ugh.

edit: seems the first load of body-only were already shipped from Amazon, so i will be waiting for a restock. f*$k.
