Default Lenses

I recently bought a k200 and I'm wondering what some good equipment would be good for it. I only have the 18-55 kit lens and I have a couple old ones but I'm looking or a zoom or telelphoto lense, macro, fisheye, and some filters. I'm starting a portrait business on the side and if you know any good studio equipment for a good price let me know too.

That's an extremely broad question with lots of potential answers. Most people are going to respond with lenses, equipment, and other toys that are more relevant to the way they shoot than the way YOU personally are going to shoot.

Also, I hate to sound rude and discouraging, but I'm concerned you aren't going to get very many positive responses with the way your question is worded. We aren't bad people around here, but in general, we tend to react pretty badly to questions that sound like someone is trying to open a business but has no idea how. The general feeling is that until you can answer the questions on needed equipment, personnel, advertising, saved funds for early expenses, and other business plan related questions, you shouldn't really be considering opening a business.

You're going to need a lot more specifics to get a good answer. Until then, you're going to get mostly people telling you to use what you already have until you KNOW what you need. Otherwise, just order everything in the B&H Photo Video Catalog...

If you are looking for portrait lenses, it will be hard to beat the fa77 or da70. They are damn near perfect. The fa31 or da35 are great for shots with full body or a shot with a subject in the context of their surroundings. If you are looking for a high quality telephoto zoom, the da*60-250 can't be beat, but for a heck of a lot less money, the da55-300 is one of the best consumer tele-zooms on the market. The da12-24 is a great wide angle but its big and bulky while the da15 isn't as wide, it is tiny and the IQ can't be beat.

That just about covers it. See the lens review section at pentaxforums.com for more info
