Default A different breed of pilot...

I got to photograph a different breed of pilot today. The top dressor 'bloke' was nearby and I was offered a lift to the strip to see how it was done. The wind had come up by the time we arrived and the operation was delayed for a few days. I still got to see the aircraft up close and witnessed a very short mad take off run! I've been asked to do a shoot later this month if we can get our timing right so till then these will have to do!

    Take off starts uphill......

And quickly turns downhill - land stops abruptly after about 150m!!

I'ts amazing to see aircraft in very close in amongst the hills.

    Thanks for looking.

Nice shots, I love the contrast of the yellow on the background.

Good images, great job managing your shutter speed. Hope you get to shoot some more of this.

Brilliant shots Paul. Though these guys make my hair stand on end with some of their manoeuvres, they are absolutely riveting to watch. I'm quite envious of your golden opportunity for a shoot I look forward to seeing these captures.

Thanks Pauline, yep I agree and I try to watch when ever I can. I cant wait to get shooting but the weather has been horrid for a few days now and I'm back at work so I'm not too confident about it.
