    Default 8gb

Was working late at night and decided to take a break by cleaning out some old computer parts I had laying around. Found my old 8GB Western Digital hard drive I took apart after it failed and decided to do a quick photo shoot with my Nikon Coolpix P7700 because I was too lazy to setup my DSLR.

Can't believe I use to wonder how to fill up 8GBs of space.

Very nice, old and new - quite amazing how things have changed. I can remember getting my first 40Mb drive - enormous waste of space....never fill it...

Exactly..my first external drive was 20MB. It was in a case the size of a DVD player, sat under my old Mac Pro and it felt like I had so much space I could download China.

These days, I take one picture, there goes 20MB. I can fit a drive in my back pocket that holds more than 50,000 times the data of that 20MB drive.
I shoot Canon and carry Think Tank.

Memories.... I had one of the 512K Fat Macs, and then upgraded to the 1mb RAM Mac Plus. It only had a floppy drive. I later added the 20 mb hard drive when they became available. They were huge, and sounded like a jet airplane engine starting up. Expensive too. I remember thinking how cool it was to boot up the Mac without the operating system floppy disk.
