Default My dad's cousin - Christmas to the extreme

We had our company Christmas party at my dad's cousin Barry's house. Barry starts decorating at the beginning of October, and starts catering dinners and doing tours on Thanksgiving weekend.

This year he had 23 decorated trees in the house, along with over a thousand Santa figurines.

This is an ornament on his "unique" tree, which is actually two trees hanging upside down. Every ornament on this particular setup is unique to the whole house. When he finds cool ornaments, he buys exactly one of them specifically for this tree.

Next to the fireplace, he has a candy cane themed tree (shown below). These are a couple of the ornaments hanging on the mantle of the fireplace.

Here's the whole candy cane tree, along with the wreath above the fireplace and the above pictured ornaments on the left.

He has a set of carroler figurines that stand along a custom set of steps he had made. Not pictured are three figures off to the right named after and designed specifically to look like his daughter, son-in-law, and their daughter.

Wow! This is spectacular. I'm really digging the first two images. Great stuff and TFS.

Wow what gorgeous photos, I love the first one especially the colours & the bokeh. What an amazing home it would be to visit.

Thanks. I shot a lot wide (well, as wide as a 35mm can be) but did want to get some detail shots as well.

Thanks. I feel like these do convey the mood and feel of the place. It's very warm and inviting.

Thank you. Those ornaments really lend themselves to being blown out of focus. It's a heck of a house. It was built in 1895 and was a working dairy farmhouse up into the 1970s. Lots of Midwest feel to the place.
