    Wow! Your goldfinches in NZ look nothing like my yellow ones here in California. Nice capture.

    Really cool pic

    There are a unusually large amount of gold finches around this year, saw about 5 sitting in our pine tree in one night(not at the same time).

    Thank you Susan. I don't really know why they call ours Goldfinches as the only part that is gold is a strip on their wings.

    Thank you northislandkokako. Here, they are everyplace this year, never seen so many. Normally have lots of Wax Eyes...this year, not one. The season seems all up-side-down.
