Default A Mix of Today

A dreary and misty day so no golf as usual. Decided against the nap, grabbed the camera and went out to see what I could shoot.

My original plan was to practice indoor dim lighting at a local new pool hall. I had visions of the shots I wanted to accomplish for the weekly assignment. Being the middle of the afternoon I figured the place would be empty. In I went without gear and asked for the manager/owner. There were a total of 5 people, including me, in the joint. I was grilled by the bartender when I told her I wanted to shoot some pictures. She went to the back and upon her return told me he wasn't in and he may be at one of the other two bars he owns. I went to the second and after a repeat grilling (well trained staff I guess) I was told he wasn't there either...I was now doubting that. Coming up a big fat 0-2 I went I my merry way and grabbed some outdoor stuff.

I guess I need to print up some business cards and carry a few generic model releases attempting to give some impression of professionalism instead of a creep with a camera.

The first two were shot with the 70-200 and the last two with the 18-55.

Any guesses what this may be?

The first use of selective exposure modification I'm kinda please with

I like this one because of the textures and the dash of green

Nice walkabout session! I think the first one may be baffles in a viaduct system to soften the flow of water through it during high-volume flow.

Love that second shot, and the textures in the last.
