New To Forum, New To Photography

Hello. So I've been starting to get into photography lately. I've had a camera for a few years but never really explored with it much. Usually keeping it on automatic. I've been watching YouTube videos and seeing what other people are doing. I took some pictures recently after learning what all the settings to and switching my camera to manual. I have a Nikon D40 with the kit lens. I've been considering an upgrade and (since I am a Nikon fan), I've really been looking toward the Nikon D7000. I feel it would fit my needs really well.

Here are a few of my shots:









For the most part, there is very little Photoshop involved. I'm also learning how to use that program as well so I try not to go over-board with it.
