Default Mission Nuestra Señora de la Purísima Concepción de Acuña

One of the five Spanish missions in the San Antonio are, this is Mission Concepcion, and the best preserved of them all.
The Battle of Concepción was fought here on October 28, 1835 between Mexican troops under Colonel Domingo Ugartechea and Texian insurgents led by James Bowie and James Fannin. The 30-minute engagement is described as "the first major engagement of the Texas Revolution" by historian J.R. Edmondson.
Here are a couple images I took there last year; one of the outside and one of the inside.

Thank you for looking.

The one taken on the inside is especially nice. Great lighting and detail. Is is HDR?

I like the second shot. I need to head back that way. You can't see all you want to see in one weekend

That's some serious work you've done shooting indoors, and shooting so well. Would you mind sharing what equipment you used for this particular shot? Great images, both! TFS!

Thank you, Annie, for the kind words. Sorry it's taken so long to respond . . . . . I've been away for a couple weeks. Both of these images were taken with my Canon 50d and 18-200 lens. They are both 3 exposure HDR images processed with Photomatix Pro and "fine-tuned" in Elements.
