Default Mission San José y San Miguel de Aguayo

Here are a couple of shots of the Mission San Jose, in San Antonio, from last year. There was some restoration work going on when I visited this mission; so I tried to get creative with some of my images to keep it from being seen. Unfortunately, this construction work kept me from shooting some of the areas that I would have liked to. (guess I need to visit again!) Hopefully, next time I can visit closer to sunrise or sunset.

Thanks for looking.

Nice work nontheless. Thanks for sharing these. It's a wonderful site to visit. Years ago, when my parents were alive we had the opportunity to attend Mass there. There's something about being in a 200+ year old building for Mass.

Nice shots. You gave me the inspiration to head to SA and shoot the missions.

Thanks Heaterguy. You're welcome and correct; it is a wonderful site to visit. I will be returning. I bet that was an unforgettable Mass.

Thanks Hill Country Hack. That's wonderful! If I lived closer, I would certainly visit them on a regular basis. I may be able to shoot them in a couple months . . . . . I'll be in the Hill Country for wildflower shooting (as long as it's a good spring)

We've had some rain and I heard on the radio we should have a decent wildflower season this spring. I am in the Hill Country and will hit up the folks in my camera club for good locations for flowers. Send me a PM when you are ready to head this way and maybe we can meet up.

That sounds great! I have been hoping for moisture across Texas, so that the flowers will be at least as good as 2010. I will definitely contact you when I know more about my schedule and the flowers. It would be nice to meet up with you and shoot.
