Default Let's see your tattoos

Thought it might be fun to share pics of your very own tattoos.

Here's one from my thigh. Got some more ... may post them later.

Personally I think tattoos are horrible and don't understand why anybody would want to willingly deface their bodies. That said I don't have any, but here is a shot of body mutilation I recently took on the beach - I bet when she was young she was an angel too:

wow... how in the world do I get a photo of my entire arm... Well, maybe pieces of it will have to do...

As to tattoos on people. Yes, it is not for everyone. But don't hate those of us who choose to get them. It is a personal choice and a form of self expression, just like people piercing their ears or wearing certain clothes or growing a beard. Yes, those are mostly impermanent things. But so what. My tattoos tell parts of the story of my life, what I believe in and the way I live my life. They have deep personal meaning to me. They are constant reminders of things in life and ideals I want to remember and live always.

So yes, tattoos may not be for you. But not all tattoos are pointless markings on someone or defacing themselves as a form of rebellion. Some of us put a lot of thought into what we get. I do not have a single tattoo that I did not think on for at least a year or more before imbedding ink into my skin for life.

There will always be haters. But, oh well. Most of us are photographic artists .

I love tattoo art as much as I love any art.
