Default Concord - here's where she is now...

Richard Branson wanted to buy this and keep it flying in air shows, but I guess British Airways just couldn't face having it re-branded with Virgin - what a shame!

Still a wonderful sight, even today.

That's a nice setup. They have one at the Museum of Flight in Seattle but the planes are packed too close to get a nice shot like that.

My grandfather used to work on the concords. He probably worked on that one at one time or another. I was sad to hear when they retired them. He would have been sad to hear it too I think. It would be great to see one in all its glory flying through the sky.

They are a thing of beauty indeed and a real teat to see it and get onboard.
Tiny inside and not viable to run. Just taxiing, it used two tons of fuel.

We saw one do a fly-by at the Abottsford Air Show in Canada, 1986. It was a beautiful and graceful sight. She made several passes before leaving.

I miss seeing this plane fly overhead daily as I did when I was younger, what a special plane it was.

wow really love that last shot... so the plane now resides in NY? If that's true I'll have to take a trip to wherever it is.

Thanks Jon, you can find it at the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum located on on 12th Avenue, 46th Street, Pier 86. You can't miss seeing the Intrepid, it's massive and Concord is located at the side.

In this helicopter shot, look to the right of the instrument panel and you can see the Intrepid and Concord.

It's about $22 to get in and well worth every cent.

Post some pics here if you manage to attend
