oh my goodness they have the concord out on the end of a pier! Is that a runway next to it.
Such a sleek stylish looking plane.

Yes, Concorde is on the end of the pier and yes, that's a runway next to it - it's the flight deck of the Intrepid - here's a shot from the end of the flight deck looking toward the Manhattan skyline. There's also some rather splendid jet fighter aircraft on the other end of the flight deck.

Great shots! Hope to see this in person in the future.

BTW, it's "Concorde", not "Concord". British Airways wanted the latter, but the former stuck.

Hi Jeff, i was lucky enough to see Concorde take off a couple of times, from Heathrow, as a kid. What an aircraft a shame she had to go and i tend to agree with you on the Virgin issue. Anyway great shots, very clear tfs.
