I've recently set my camera to do a B&W and simultaneously take a full colour shot. I'm loving some of the B&W that's coming out.

A good idea and one strangely enough I have undertaken myself, too. Recently I ran a film through my Rolleicord Va, something I haven't done in probably 30 - 40 years. Paid a visit to the Ron Mueck Exhibition at the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art and captured some of his amazing exhibits:

Some great shots here! Fab.
Just out of interest - do you convert your images to black and white in RAW, or do you use photoshop? I have always done it in RAW, but recently discovered all the extra filters in photoshop. All black and white conversion tips, tricks or tutorials appreciated! |

These three were all taken in Vietnam over the last year. Vietnam's a very colourful place, but I like to take black and white shots, particularly of people.
I ran into this guy in the Gia Lam district of Hanoi: ![]() This was taken on a very grey and overcast day in April - perfect weather for b&w shots: ![]() I took this last summer near Sapa in the north of Vietnam, where many of the county's ethnic minorities live: ![]() Some great shots in this thread - keep 'em coming.
