Here's how I do it:

1 - Set the Drive Mode to "Continuous shooting."
2 - Go to "AEB" in your menu (second menu screen) and hit "SET."
3 - Use the right and left arrows to adjust your exposure bracketing values.
4 - Hit "SET."
5 - Exit the menu, and set your ISO, aperture, and shutter speed to what you want your initial exposure to be.
6 - Focus the shot.
7 - Press and hold the shutter button so the camera records three images.

When you review the images on the LCD, the first image will be according to the ISO, aperture, and shutter speed you selected. The second image will be the decreased exposure (less exposed; darker). The third and final image will be the increased exposure (more exposed; brighter).

I hope this helps!

EDIT: After reading your post again, I'm not sure if I understand exactly what you're asking about. Initially, I thought you were asking how to use auto-exposure bracketing while shooting in manual mode. Now, I'm not so sure. Can you clarify?

Thanks for your help. My teacher told me to "bracket your shots on manual or use program and play with the exposure compensation to bring up or change film speed to 50 ISO and work from a tripod. I have not been able to get in contact with her to ask any more questions.
I am going to Europe where we will be taking photos in the snow

It sounds like she wants you to experiment with your camera and really see how different settings affect the exposure.

I agree.

When you expose your shot and shoot it, for the next one, increase the shutter speed by by 1 stop and shoot and then decrease the shutter speed by 2 stops from where you are and shoot. You will end up with three photos of the same target at three different exposures that simulates the auto exposure bracketing that natek313 stated.
