Moon Photoing?

Heyy! I thought there was an article about photographing the moon a while back I seem to remember reading, but I can't seem to find it!! Maybe it's right in front of my nose - does anyone know where it would be?

Here's my attempt with the knowledge I could remember from the article (which actually was "underexpose it"..)

Any advice on how I could improve would be muchly appreciated! I'm going to have another shot at it another night!

Oh I'm using a 70-300mm f/4 - 5.6 lens
I had it set to f9 but I don't really know if that was right
and that has been cropped

speed was 1/80
ISO was 100
