Default Resolution - Can it be saved?

I just did a family session and after the fact realized I had shot the whole session at 72 resolution. Is it possible to fix the resolution in photoshop, so that they are able to print quality images?

all resolutions when you take photos are 72. what differs is the height and width measurements which depends on the settings that you choose, ie, raw, large, medium or small. if you used large then you dont have any problems. if you chose small, then you will have problems in printing it big because of resampling

By 72 do you mean 72 DPI? the DPI stands for dots per inch and from what I have found out is meaningless the 72 apparantly stands for resolution unknown. As the image file has already got horizontal and vertical pixel measurments theres no need to have the DPI as this is more for designers to tell printers how big the file should be printed. printing your file at different sizes will cause your picture in physical form to have different dots per inch value. Its confusing lol

So confusing - I took it as a large jpeg. From here on out I plan on shooting in raw. It sounds like once I crop it, I won't have trouble printing. Does that sounds right?

Is 72 resolution from Photoshop?

That means 72 dpi. You can 'fix' it using the following commands:

Image | Image Size | enter 300 resolution pixels/inch and uncheck 'Resample Image' option. Photoshop What Is Canvas Size, Cropping, Image Size? Tutorial
