Hi, this is my first time to post. I have a Nikon d90. I have been having problems with focusing. I am new to this camera, so I don't know if it's operator problems or the camera. My pictures can't seem to get the best focus. I've been using an 18-200 zoom. I'm attaching a picture to see if someone can help. Thanks so much.

Here's another shot with the d90. When I printed this, it looked terrible. I tried to sharpen with Photoshop, and it still did not look good. What am I doing wrong, or I suppose I need lots of help with focusing. I even put the camera on default and used auto, and it still looked blurry. Can anyone help? Thanks!!!

No amount of Sharpening will make a poorly focused picture perfect. Just better. Try using a Tripod and a remote shutter release next time perhaps even Mirror lock up if you really need to nail the shot. Thanks for sharing this Michael.

Welcome Anne
I've just merged your two threads together and moved them over to the technique area where they're better suited. As Chewys Dad said, it would be useful to know some of the settings that you're using (even the auto ones since sometimes even auto gets it wrong). A shorter shutter speed or a smaller aperture (e.g. larger number) might get more in focus for example.
