Default D90 Video Question

Hey everyone,
First Im a new member, and found this site out of the blue, and im glad i did, ive been searching the site and you all seem like a well collected group who knows your stuff.

I have a question I just purchased a Nikon D90 and love that fact that it has HD video, but while shooting the quality seems pretty grainy. I use a 18-55mm Vr lens, and a 55-200mm VR lens could this be the problem?

Video in a DSLR is a new thing in the market, and its still in it's technical infancy. Depending on your shooting situation, it could be any number of things, but Im going to guess this was in some lower-light situations?

Not really: its the same as the "graininess" that was in older format video too. Its just a property of the higher ISO settings needed.
