Default i need your help

guys, i rili nid ur help..i'm a nikon d70 user..and having problem shooting in not so low light situation..during 4 in the afternoon when the sun is starting to set, the picture seems to be dull..i don't know why..it's a lil bit dark and lil bit blue...waht do u think is the problem?can i adjust the brightness on the cam? i tried adjusting the exposure but it just increases the highlights..not the brightness of the picture as a whole..they said 1 of the best time to shoot is between 4pm - 5pm but doesn't work for me..by the way, i shoot in normal mode and sometimes vivid..thanks in advance for you help...

Set your white balance pre-set to shade ( 7000Kelvin). Ken

thanks sir for your reply..i will try that.. i usually set my white balance to automatic...do u think it will jz lead me to shade?because it's automatic..i min, d camera will detect d ryt mode for the situation..maybe..

I agree with Kencaleno sounds Like your white balance is out to me too!
