Default HELP! Calling all opinions! Need concert shoot advice!

I have the opportunity to shoot a popular band (Mutemath) at the final show of their North American show in NYC at the Nokia Theatre. I've essentially been given a photo pass that doesn't give me any special access but all my work will be given to the band and posted on Flickr. I'm trying to figure out how to best utilize my tools in a crazy crowd to get the best shots....

Here is a picture that illustrates the closest i'd be able to get to the stage (very likely since i have a first in line pass and i get in 30 min before everyone else)
NOKIA Theatre Times Square | Photo Gallery (sixth picture in)

My gear is...
Canon Rebel XT (once i get above ISO 400 grain is quite noticeable)
Kit EF lens 18-55 f3.5-5.6
EF 75-300mm f4-5.6
50mm f1.8

here are my thoughts, please give me your feedback. i need all the help i can get including shooting tips (like metering etc.)
i'm thinking of forgetting the kit lens and just taking the nifty 50 and maybe the tele depending on how bright the lighting is maybe i can pull some stuff off.
because i'm not used a full frame camera there is the conversion factor that gets me closer (50mm becomes more like 85mm etc.)
i'm thinking if i stick to the 50 at 1.8 they should be far enough away to get good shots and the fast lens will help with the low lighting
either shooting on Av or full Manual and keeping my shutter speeds to 1/60 or faster, bumping up the ISO as i need to acheive proper shutter speeds to avoid lens blur.
it's a very energetic band.

4 piece band that is set up as such when facing the stage.... guitarist on left, lead singer/keys in the center or just left of center (faces forward when just singing and to the right when seated at keys), bassist just right of center and slightly set back, drummer on far right facing to the left. they all stay at pretty much the same depth and width wise stay very tight together.
here's are some examples

i'm thinking of trying to get spot just to the right of the lead singer as the guitarist moves back and forth in depth as he plays. this way i can get all of them except the guitarist and maybe try to get him later or with the telephoto.. i'm sure i'm probably not going to be able to move around at all with the thick crowd so i need to pick a best spot.

Again any help you can give would be reeeallly appreciated! thanks!
