Okay, I've tried to ask this question in forums before and I don't know if I've asked it in an easy to interpret manner, so I'll give it another go....
![]() When setting the Custom White Balance, is my CWB affected by the previous white balance settings in the camera at all? In other words, I've been told to have the camera on CWB, take a picture of the item you want to take the WB off of (i.e. a CWB lens cap, white paper, gray card, etc) and then go into the menu and set it from that. BUT..... what if you had a CWB already set in the camera. If your "source" photo already has a WB adjustment on it from the last set of photos you took, does that affect how it interprets your CWB for the new set? Does this question make any sense at all? haha Thanks everyone! -Curtis

Nope, changing the the custom white balance won't affect photos previously taken with another CWB setting.

No, every time you set white balance, it starts over. It uses the raw sensor data and discards the previous setting.
