I did a search to see if there were any related articles pertaining to the "crazy booth," but only one other thread had been started and it didn't provide much, if any, information.
I am shooting a wedding that is going to happen early next year and I was trying to plan ahead on stuff that needs to get done. The two getting married expressed interest in setting up a "crazy booth." All I could find about a crazy booth is that there is a plain backdrop set up so people attending the event could go in and take "candid" looking shots. I assume an SLR is set on a tripod with a remote control shutter at hand and a set focus and aperture with a flash. I don't know if there is more to it than that, but if anyone has any other information, it'd be great. I've read a lot about the "crazy booth" becoming more and more popular lately. Thanks, -casey |

You can go two routes with this.
More: A flash, fixed prime, small aperture (f/8 or so), set shutterspeed, etc. Less: Webcam set to record every 15 seconds or something, directly to a computer.

The best in the business (my opinion) offer a "How To" for their crazybooth setup for the bargain price of $150. Alternatively, I highly recommend studying the many many crazybooth shots on their blog, and trying to think through how they do it. There are several important issues, but I think the chief ones are: A) Will this thing run itself or do you need someone to man the station? B) How on earth do they get people to act that nutty? I think the answer to B is clearly alcohol. The first part, and the camera/light setup, will be a little more challenging . . .
