Touch of warmth reflector

Has any used a Touch of Warmth reflector for portraits? If so, is it worth the added expense to buy one?

If you are unfamiliar with them, here's an example.

I'm also trying to figure out a DIY way to do one, if anyone has suggestions.

In the suite of filters, Nik PhotoEfx is a gold umbrella filter. You can shoot normally and in post production add the warmth of the gold reflector at any strength and any angle. They also have silver for more punch.
