Default Professional Baseball Game Photography (Night)

I am going to a Dodgers games in a couple of weeks. I am going as a fan so will be sitting in the regular bleachers and not able to get too close to the action. I have a Nikon D60 camera with a 70 - 200mm lense. It will also be a night game.

Any suggestions on taking pictures of the game and what settings I should use for both the non-action shots and of the action shots. I am new to digital SLRs and have mostly used Auto settings in the past. I would like to experiment a little with the manual settings for this event.

Thanks

I went to a Dodger game not to long ago. I was sitting in the Reserve section on the 1st base side, part of the game was at night, and some of the better pictures that I got of the game were with a 50mm 2.5 lens. My other lenses aren't as fast especially when I zoom out on them. The highest I went on my ISO was 400 and I was shooting in the Av mode. Just FYI, I don't believe tripods are allowed in the stadium, I had a Gorrillapod with me and they stopped me at the entrance and there were questions asked to managers if it was okay if I brought it in.

Most of the stadium lighting is at f2.8 at 500th sec using ISO 800. But take a few test shots to check settings

I was in the Reserve section which is above the Lower Reserve and I was using a 50mm lens and I could almost fit the whole diamond in the photo. The settings were ISO 400, Tv 1/400th, Av 2.5. If you look closely you can see that the ball just bounced off of the pitcher.
