Morning all
![]() I was hoping I could get some advice. I bought my DSLR about 3 months ago and have just won this Sony Twilight Football (soccer) competition (About the event : Sony). Next month I'll be off to South Africa to shoot the final (as an official photographer). Thing is, as you can probably imagine, having had the DSLR for such a short amount of time, I could really do with some advice and tips. I'm frantically reading everything on sports photography I can find on DPS and Google and am trying to arrange to get down to shoot some football games. The last thing I want is to get out there, shoot the final and have all the pictures a complete waste. The other thing of course is that it's a twilight match, the point being low light photography so it's not your standard sports photojournalism but a high degree of art and aesthetics too. I use a Sony a200 with the 18-70 and 75-300mm kit lenses. Unfortunately I don't have the funds for better lenses at the moment. I also have the F42 flash. If anyone has any tips, ideas or advice on combing all these aspects I would be most greatful. I'm currenty drawing up a hitlist of shots as I find it always helps. What it is the makes it special and how to capture it, reactions, fans, landscapes, action etc. TIA |
