I have just enrolled on this course too. Assignment 1 looked very daunting at first and not what I was expecting from a beginners course but I have done lots of other reading on the net and in books and it has helped a great deal - like others have said I think you need to take the module information and then do your own research to expand on it! You are thrown in at the deep end a bit though!!lol

Thanks for the links suggested on here!

Got my fingers crossed for everyone taking this course

People that started a while ago...how are you getting on with the modules now?

Lightbulb Going to Africa and want to have the right lens.

I'm new to photography. I have a Canon T1i and I really love my camera. The three lenses I have are 50mm Macro 1:2.5, EFS18-55mm (came with camera), 75-300mm 1:4-5.6. Do I have a lens I can take out from this grouping or is there another lens I should use (borrow, purchase)? I am on a budget and leaving in 13 days HELP!!!!

Just got 8/10 for the first assignment! My Tutor was fantastic gave a lot of feedback and encouragement!! Keep at it everyone as there are no right or wrong answers for the first assignment. Just try and give your personal view and that is all they ask for!! Just mention lenses and filters you don't have to go into apertures, lighting etc as we have not even touched on thoes subjects. I just kept it simple and to the point and used a bit of creativity!

Regards
Robyn

Default PI Course - Assignment 1

Hey guys,

I too have just enrolled in this course, and assignment has certainly been mind boggling. I've found the comments on this forum very helpful though.

It does seem like they are expecting us to know a little more than what they've actually told us.

I'm just typing up my notes for ass.1 now, still a little sceptical about handing it in though...

I look forward to using this forum to chat about such things!!

Jay.
