ok, i've thought about trying HDR photos but i have some questions... firstly, i use aperture but i want photoshop, i just want want to pay 700 for it... should i order the HDRSoft plug-in for aperature or just wait until i get photoshop or go ahead and buy the stand alone HDRSoft program? secondly, what should i have camera set on? will program auto be ok or should i use aperature priority or shutter priority or go totally manual? thirdly, once i have the proper settings, what is the minimum number of exposures i should bracket for and should i go in 1/3, 1/2, or whole stops? fourthly, i've noticed some hdr photos with halos around objects... how do i get rid of this to make it look more natural? can aperture do that or the HDRSoft program? or is photoshop the only thing that i can use for that? fifth, what about moving clouds and things that change from one bracketed photo to the next? i know this is a lot of questions... thanks for your help? oh, and can you make portraits that are HDR?

To create an HDRI, the best possible way I can think of is to mount a camera onto a tripod and take snaps of all four directions(front, right, back, left) using a Fish eye lens. Then load these images into a software called PTGui(which is free to try) and generate your master piece.
