Question Photography at aquariums

Hubby is taking me to Atlanta to the Aquarium Saturday for my birthday. Any one have any good suggestion on how to take good pics of the aquarium animals?

I would like information on this too. I have a large fish tank with some great fish in it but I can't seem to get any good quality shots of them.

typically use widest aperture lens you have (50mm f/1.8 in my case)
meter for the highlights in Av (Aperture priority), and set the exposure bias down to lke -1.7 or something.
that way you capture the natural darkness and force a faster shutterspeed.

i hope that helps,
search these forums for concert photography, night photography.. the concept is essentially the same.
you cant meter for the midtones becuse its too dark and the shutterspeed would be too long.

dont use the flash.

If you use a flash for aquarium photography, you need the lens/lens hood against the glass, to avoid any flashback-so you would need to lock the focus for this.
