Default Tank War

This was taken at our 4th of July celebration. A little boy was eager to show us a tank war.

Default Some Fireworks shots -

These are some firework shots from last year, the exif info should be on flickr. Enjoy!

Tip 1: Foreground elements, not needed as evident in my photos (I tried but it wasn't really the spot for adding foreground elements) but still, a great addition

Tip 2: While great firework shots can be in color, I found that all my B&W shots turned out tons better...

Tip 3: Use a long shutter speed

Tip 4: Tri-pod, In my photos I didn't use one, cause they weren't allowed, just had to be very steady and use objects to stabilize

Tip 5: Post Processing can change the photos around a lot, some photos that look like trash are complete winners if you just crop a little and maybe convert to B&W

Tip 6: EXPERIMENT!! HAVE FUN!!

View all of my photos on my Flickr Photostream!

This is my second attempt at fireworks. My first attempt a couple of years ago didn't go as well. I learned a lot then and I'm pretty happy with these. Happy Independence Day to my fellow Americans.
